Sorry for the delay!

5 Jul

I’m sorry for not posting for the past few days. I have so much pending posts to put here, but I am still thinking if I need to switch blog hosts. If there’s a techy out there who can help me out with this, please contact me with the email at omgroxiblogs at gmail dot com.

I have yet to put up my Forever 21 Opening Day entry among others. Help!

Apparently Worpress doesn’t allow scripts to be added on free hosted blogs. I have been trying for days to put up my Adsense, Nuffnang, and a CBox here but it kept on erasing it. Soo, I am thinking of moving to Blogger.

What do you think? If I do move, I’ll be transferring all posts to the new one so they’ll be available there too.

Oh and I am changing my URL soon. I’ll reveal soon! 😀

Forever 21 Opening Day : Short Note

2 Jul

I am still gathering my thoughts about opening this morning at Megamall A 2nd Floor, where the HUGE, and I mean HUGE, Forever 21 stands. I only slept for three hours (stupid insomnia 😦 ) but still managed to get up at 8:30 and get ready. I’ll follow up on this as soon as I get some sleep!

Every person who was there this morning knows how the excitement and adrenaline pumped your body into grabbing everything that catches your eye. I can honestly say, I felt I was in line for a rollercoaster ride because I was excited but at the same time scared. Scare that I might spend all my money, which were not a lot to begin with. On the note of my recent purchase, I was not well equiped for the battle but I still showed up!

Ok, I’ll rest now. I promise to come back in a few hours. 😀 Good night for now, Forever 21 Manila!

Food Buzz: Cibo

2 Jul

After my trip to the salon I went to Cibo for dinner. I had the Pomodoro Classico Bruschetta and Spaghettini Alla Bolognes. I didn’t like Cibo before but after DF and FMIL introduced me to their delicious bruschetta, I can’t stop thinking about it. I am a big fan of tomatoes and cheeses, makes me happy when I can have both in one dish!

The Pomodoro Classico Bruschetta is served with a big slice of bread cut into two, topped with freshly chopped tomatoes, herbs, and then thin slices of cheese. I’m not quite sure what the cheese is, but it taste very good with the whole plate. I usually pour the olive oil (served together with the bread) over the whole bread, makes it more tasty.

I almost forgot to take a picture of the bolognes since I dived right in! This picture was taken after mixing the sauce and pasta. The pasta dish I had was very tasteful, but a little heavy to the stomach. The noodles are thicker than the average ones served with bolognes in other restaurants. Beef and sauce was awesome. It was also served with bread, a very long soft bread to be exact. It was heavenly! I wish it was like at Fazoli’s in Eastwood where the bread is complimentary and you can have as many as you want. Hahaha!

I dined at Cibo in Promenade, Greenhills. Their service was crazy fast! I waited less than 5 minutes for the bruschetta, less than 10 minutes for my pasta. And the servers are very attentive, my glass never got empty as they kept on going to my table and refilling it. The down side is, this branch is a little small, and it can be filled within minutes being than it is located at the heart of Greenhills. Luckily I was able to get a table outside, dined al fresco style for dinner.

Kuya Germs was at the next table! Wanted to take a picture of him but was shy and very hungry. But you can spot him by the window on the picture of the place above.

You may visit Cibo at the Promenade Strip in Greenhills. It’s right next to Grilla and Tender Bob’s. Cibo is also at Alabang Town Center, Glorietta 3, Shangri-la Plaza, Power Plant, and Gateway.

My Sony TX5!

2 Jul

I recently just sold my old digital camera, a Canon SD 800 IS, and my other Sigma Lens, so I could buy either a new digital camera or a working lens. I have been eyeing the Sony TX5, was captivated by their commercial on AXN. I’m buying one of those for my trip since I’m thinking of not bringing my 400D with my heavy 24-70mm Sigma.

I got to look at two shops that carried the Sony TX5, TCA and Pixel Pro. At TCA, it was priced at P27,000+ with the package including a 4GB Sony Memory Card and a 3 year warranty at Sony. Over at Pixel Pro, it was originally priced at P27,999 (I think same lang as TCA, but they had it on Red Rouge, TCA was Black only), but was put down to P25,000 because I was planning on purchasing it with cash/card.

(Pixel Pro at Greenhills)

Pixel Pro’s offer was the basic package plus a 4GG San Disk memory card and a 1 year warranty with Sony. Knowing me, I don’t really break my gadgets as I am very OC with them. And since the TX5 is shock-proof, dust-proof, weather-proof, and water-proof, I don’t see myself destroying it in any way.

So I bought the Sony TX5 at Pixel Pro! Here’s my new baby!

No name yet for this baby. Any suggestions? 😀

It takes very nice photos, dSLR like. I’ll make a review for the TX5 after a week of using it so I can be precise. But as for the 5 hours we’ve been together, she’s (Yes, it’s a girl. Hahaha!) been nothing but wonderful. I have been enjoying the iSweep feature of this baby and the awesome pictures it takes even with very, very low lighting. I will now read the manual and other guides so I can use it properly. Don’t wanna break it now! Haha.

Check out the specs at Sony’s website click here !

I also plan on buying a 50mm f.1.8 there before I go so I can have something on my 400D also or maybe when I get back. But I’ll surely get it from Pixel Pro. They know what they’re selling and their prices are very competitive.

Pixel Pro is at the 3rd Level of Unit 359 V Mall (Virramall) Greenhills. Right across the Food Court. Telephone: 726-9387 or 584-5356. They also have a branch at Megamall Mega B, in Cebu and Pampanga.

Pixel Pro carries cameras and accessories from Olympus, Samsung, Sony, Canon, Nikon, Rollei, Panasonic, Phottix, Giottos, Lowepro, Kenko, JJG, Pacsafe, Tamrac, and Tokina.
