Weird Body Clock

30 Jun

Weird Body Clock

First of all, I would like to thank my DF for helping me fix my awful body clock. For the past three weeks or so, I have been sleeping around 5:00 am. My worst one started last week I think, where I slept around 8:30 am already, and then waking up at 3:00 in the afternoon. In short, I am awake when YOU are sleeping. Wide awake, until I hear my neighbors getting out to go to their respective offices, until I head the carpenters working at the unit next door heading in to start their day, until the time when you are eating breakfast or probably stuck in traffic along EDSA.

But today was different, well sort of. I did sleep at 5:00 am, but I woke up at 10:30 because of my ever loving and caring DF. He’s been ticked off by my sleeping habits. I would like to say that right now, as of 10:00 in the evening of the last day of June 2010, I AM SLEEPY.

Even with the rather shorter sleep I had, I felt fresh and new when I got up this morning. I decided to take a shower immediately, skipping breakfast, so I won’t feel sleepy anymore. FYI, I have not yet installed my shower heater, so I was awoken by cold water. But I am happy! I got to do a lot of things today, work and go VMall. I was supposed to buy tickets for the night showing of Eclipse, but my friends are MIA and DF wanted to watch with me, so its postponed until Friday. My BF wants to catch it at Eastwood, but I prefer GH. It’s P20 or P30 less here. God knows why they keep on raising their cinema prices.

Anyway, I will blog about the rest of the day tomorrow and my recent purchase. I’m so sleepy! Good night! 😀

Twilight Saga: Eclipse

28 Jun

Oh my, with the distraction of the US retail giant coming here I almost forgot of another important event this week.

Eclipse, the 3rd book of the world famous Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer, is coming to theaters this June 30th. I think I have been waiting for it since New Moon that my anticipation wore out a little. BUT, I am still excited to see it nonetheless. I decided to skip the advance screening of the movie for two reasons:

  1. Ticket price is higher this year, I think. Even though it said its reserve seating, I still hesitant because the last advanced screening I went to, which was New Moon, it said the same thing but when we got there we ended up seating on monoblock chairs on the SIDE of the movie house. Not a nice angle watching Jacob take off his shirt to assist the oh-so-helpless Bella.
  1. Screaming girls! I know, I know. I did the same thing when I first watched Twilight. But these young girls are crazy! And I mean crazy to the point where you can’t hear or comprehend the dialogue between characters because of the ‘yiiiiiiiiiii!’ ‘aaaaahhhhh’ ‘Edward!!!’ ‘Jacob!!!’ screams you’ll be hearing throughout the whole movie.

Even though they’ll be giving out movie posters when you watch tonight, I think I’ll just watch it tomorrow or even next week since I am being a scrooge until Friday! They gave out 2010 New Moon calendars the last time. It’s as big as a short bond paper. Haven’t used it or placed it anywhere. And I also got a free mouse pad with the ‘Wolf Pack’ on it. Anyone who wants to take these off my hands can leave a comment or e-mail me at curtainlesswindows at gmail dot com. 😀

So I’ll be catching it on its regular showing at Greenhills instead. People are more, how do you say it, tamed, here. Hahaha! 🙂

Anyway, hope movie-goers tonight will enjoy the screening. No spoilers please!

Countdown: 4 days to go! Forever 21 Fever!

28 Jun

Seriously, I feel like fainting when I see sneak-peek photos of the store from bloggers who also anticipate the grand opening! I don’t know if you feel the same way, but I feel like a kid waiting for the opening of Disneyland in the Philippines. Although I don’t think it would fit well here. Look at Enchanted Kingdom. Sorry, but its not so ‘enchanting’ anymore.

Anyway, as we are all waiting for THE day, I’d like to share some of my Forever 21 items that I’ve used until the color faded. Hahaha. Most of these babies were purchased online and then I’d pick them up over at my sister’s place in New Jersey. I also buy stuff at Old Navy for casual tank tops and cool bags.

Here they are:

1. Violet Babydoll w/ 3/4 sleeves Smocked Dressy Top – One of my favorites, I wear it a lot. Like a lot. But now when I wear it I look like an eggplant so I rarely wear it na. Hahaha! I think  Ashley Gosingfiao, a Filipina cosplayer, also has the same dressy top I think, I’m not sure. But it does look alike. Of course she wore it better! (Picture from Alodia Gosingfiao‘s Multiply Site)

(ME) Dress by Forever 21, bag from Nine West, bracelet from Juicy Couture, bag from Eastwood City Tiangge.

2. Jeffrey Green Babydoll Eyelet Dress – Another favorite. I love wearing this on formal events. This picture was taken when DF’s band before had a gig at a hotel in Makati and I sang a few songs. Old school photo obviously ‘coz I’m a little bit thinner here. Okay, super thinner here. Hahaha!

3. Flower Print Top – Its satin-feel makes it very comfortable to wear. Sorry I don’t wear it without cover ‘coz I’m not zexy!

4. Black Bolero Cardigan – I love this so much! This is probably my favorite. I love how it goes with everything. You’ll see me wearing this when I have a sleeve-less top or a tube top on. It’s a life saver!

5. Black Tunic Print Top – I usually wear this without the belt because it gives too much emphasis on the ladies and my belly.

6. Striped Tunic – Another favorite! This was taken while on vacation at Sonya’s Garden at Tagaytay.

7. VIP Baseball Tee – I love wearing this on casual days. Taken during one of our stays at Holiday Inn Galleria.

8. Hello Kitty Tunic Top – Hello Kitty is ❤ and I can’t wait to wear this again. 😀

9. Yellow Watch – My mom actually got this for me with a matching yellow hobo bag. But I exchanged bags with her ‘coz she had green, and I love green more than yellow. See next picture!

10. Green Hobo Bag – It’s so roomy I can fit everything in there! Only problem is I put so many things it becomes too heavy for my shoulder. Hahaha! (Sorry, I can’t seem to find a picture that shows the whole bag. But here’s a peak of it.)

I’ll take more pictures of my other Forever 21 stuff that I got. I’m planning on selling the other accessories that I have that hasn’t been used yet. Sayang naman. But it’ll be less than the price of course. What’s the point of overpricing it when its coming to town! But these were last year’s find. Maybe you’ll like them. I’ll post it here and on my Multiply Store site: Roxi Sells . 😀

Forever 21 in Manila!

27 Jun

If you haven’t heard yet, then you must have been living under a rock. Forever 21 is coming to the Philippines this July 2nd! Now Filipinas can also enjoy the fashion and style of Forever 21. Worry not, it is not as expensive as Zara or Top Shop (at least for me those shops are way too expensivo). Forever 21 will keep you within your budget and keep you stylish at the same time.

According to the dashing Mrs. Cecile Zamora-Van Straten of, Forever 21 will have:

34 fitting rooms
60 sales assistants
17 cashiers
91 total staff, including management

I cannot ask for a store that I want to be franchised here in our dear country! I have been an avid fan and shopper of this wonderful store ever since I was 15 years old. I would always look at their website ( for new finds. I’d put them on my wish list and then have my sisters check it out and see if they can buy it for me.

You can create your own account on their website and have unlimited freedom of browsing through their online catalog for the main line, Forever 21, or Heritage 1981, Heritage81 Kids, Twelve by Twelve, 21 Men, Love Contemporary, and Faith 21. You can add items you want to your wish list or directly to your shopping cart.

Back then, I’d have my sisters in New Jersey buy them online and have them delivered to their home where I will be staying at. But now, I have our own Forever 21 store just a good 10-15 minutes away from my condo!

I’m telling you, you will find me in that line the morning they open their doors to public. I am dying to spend my hard earned money for new clothes, shoes, and bags. Maybe I’ll add a few accessories. I even have some accessories here from Forever 21 that I haven’t used yet, so let’s see if I find some new things I like. Sadly, they won’t be carrying the Faith 21 line here according to sources. I guess I just have to work ‘em fats off fast! Hahaha!

I hope they open up an online store where we can just order them through their website and have them delivered right at our doorstep.

I will update everyone on my first take on Forever 21 in Manila right after I shopped! Maybe I’ll post pictures too. 😀 See you guys at the opening! 🙂

Dads The Ultimate Buffet Experience

27 Jun

I apologize for not update on our Dads The Ultimate Buffet experience. As I’ve said before, we got the gift certificates through mail. According to them, they sent one to every household in North Greenhills.

Anyway, we used them the week after I got the mail. And I tell you, it was worth it! I haven’t been there in a while. Back then I didn’t have as much taste for food as now, although I don’t really eat that wide variety of food, period.

DF enjoyed it at least, he’s so much fun to take to buffets ‘coz he basically eats anything! After our meal, I jokingly asked the person who directed us to our table if they can send another one ‘coz I said we’d eat here over and over again if we had lots of GCs.

Well, less than a month later, our lobby receptionist told me I had mail. Surprisingly, they sent TWO more GC packages! I couldn’t believe they would send a new batch or even two! I don’t know if they did this because I asked (okay, begged!) or if they just accidentally sent three (that would be weird?) but I was happy. But the catch was it was 2 weeks away from its expiration day which was June ___.

We consumed the first free Dads Ultimate Buffet for Two in the 1st week with a friend since we had the discount coupon for Saisaki/Kamayan. It was well worth it for our friend Ayo since he too had a palate for everything edible. Hahaha! The second GC we used on the day of the expiration itself. We went with my best friend and her boyfriend. I gave them two of my Saisaki coupons for them to use. My BFF totally enjoyed the Japanese buffet because she loves Salmon Sashimi and she had like 5 plates of it. She felt dizzy after a while. Hahaha!

Anyway, I would like to thank Dads, Kamayan, and Saisaki for the pleasure of eating that we’ve had and for the gifts. I will make sure we eat there for big occasions since it’s for everyone.

Dads, Kamayan, and Saisaki EDSA is located at 207 Edsa Greehills, Mandaluyong City.
